Everybody has something that chews them up and,  for me, that thing was always loneliness. The cinema has the power to make you not feel lonely, even when you are.

Session Details

How Does

It Work?

Lead by Deb/Clare, the group decides what to watch over the next four weeks, usually a film. Each week members share their thoughts, feelings and ideas about the nominated film as well as other things they've watched, which usually leads to some lively discussion. There may also be discussion around actors/actresses, upcoming film & TV etc - the usual stuff you'll find film and TV fans talking about! It's relaxed, informal and the perfect place to unwind and connect midweek. No matter what your favourite genre is, all are welcome!

What do

I Need?

You will need your laptop or mobile device, your session zoom link and a quiet space. Drinks and snacks or your tea if you like too! We will always nominate films that are easily accessible (likely through a streaming service like Netflix) and therefore don't cost a lot to watch.

What Do

I Do?

It's a pretty relaxed session that will likely lead itself according to discussion but Deb/Clare will guide as needed too. Obviously this group requires 'homework' in that you need to watch the nominated film in the month between the sessions.
