Meet our Yoga Host:
As well as hosting Yoga Jo has her own business centred around Counselling, Yoga, Reiki and Holistic Therapy.
Jo is hosting Yoga every other Monday morning (Week B). She has a background in community development, holistic therapy, creative writing, mental health, counselling and yoga. She has a lovely home in St Annes where she lives with her daughter, dog and two cats. As a single mum now in menopause, Jo understand the stresses of keeping up with work and home, paying the bills and seeking fun out of life! She is currently interested in developing movement practices which reduce stress, trauma and burnout.
From Jo: I am aged 51 and currently work in mental health. I am also a counsellor and yoga teacher, and can practice holistic therapy and reiki. I have been interested in holistic health since my early twenties when I was convinced that the route to health needed more than medication and talking therapies. I have an interest in homeopathy and flower essences and have used both to support me through menopause. I also have over twenty five years of personal shamanic practice and am still involved in several shamanic groups. My business beYou therapies includes counselling, yoga and holistic therapy.
I’m looking for an embodied life, a life where mind and body connect harmoniously, safely, passionately and with joy. This I would like to share with all people to enable all to truly know themselves, their needs, their abilities and their strengths. My aim within yogic movement is to support others to deepen their relationship with their bodies, emotions and thoughts; seeking growth by following the wisdom of their own sensory experience.
