Bring your passion and your projects!
Knitting, crochet, cross stitch, tapestry, weaving, sewing, spinning, rug making..... Always happy to teach, share ideas and have a chat, this is a group open to all people of all ages and experience. Even if you don’t enjoy knitting, come along for the natter!
The yarn forms the stitches, the knitting forges the friendships, the craft links the generations.
- Karen Alfke
Members bring their projects; knitting, crochet, rugmaking, weaving to this safespace in which they can share their work, tips, techniques and ideas, ask questions, learn from each other and chat together, generally about anything atall.
For the session you will need your laptop or mobile device and session zoom link, a quiet space to sit or lie down, and your project (although sometimes you may just want to come along and natter!)
You get to just be there and relax, work on your project and talk as much or as little as you like.
Deb and Clare are the Bee Tree Founders and Co-Directors. Deb has had a long and varied career in health, education and psychotherapy, and is currently studying for her Doctorate. Clare was previously a Nurse and Midwife and is now an Integrative Psychotherapist.
Deb is passionate about 'people power'; bringing people together to help themselves and each other to improve their lives and overall well being. She really enjoys being with people and listening to their fascinating stories about their lives; where they've been, who they've met, what they've done. She is also a very enthusiastic knitter and an avid collector of yarn, arguably an addiction which she struggles to control!
Clare is a lover of good (now vegan!) food, peaceful mornings with a coffee, time spent with her husband Dec, their cats, tortoises and people she loves and stories of all kinds. Harry Potter, Pokémon, Disney and musicals are just some of the stories she's loved since she was little! She is passionate about social justice and doing her part where she can to make this world a better, fairer and more compassionate place. Bee Tree is the culmination of much of Clare's combined personal and professional experience and she feels it's benefits just as much as Bee Tree members do. She is beginner level knitter who has discovered how much she likes to knit through hosting this group for members.
