Sam%20Aylwin_edited.png

Sam’s career spans over 25 years. She has been a community artist, art teacher, youth worker and completed training as an art therapist in 2016. Sam is inspired by a wide range of subjects, although nature has been a companion, muse, and teacher for much of her life featuring in much of the work she makes. Whether you just want to be able to draw, use it for fun and pleasure, perhaps express something from your imagination or your own development; Art truly has the ability to take you anywhere.

From Sam: I love expressing my life, my thoughts and my experiences through images and the written word. When I was about 8 I made a decision to become an Artist. I Studied Fine Art in South Africa to degree level; a short course in creativity and self expression at Central St. Martins London; a Post Graduate Degree in Fine Art at the Cyprus College of Art and PGCE Ed at Mysercough. I received the Premiers Award for excellence in the Arts in South Africa, I published poetry through the Poetry Insitute of Africa and have sold work in South Africa, Cyprus and England. I like Aikido, camping, nature and the outdoors as well as literature, theatre and music that speak of and convey the human journey.
