Join us for a good stretch out!
Yoga is a physical mindfulness practice with many health benefits. This group is suitable for all abilities and focuses on the spiritual and physical practice of yoga. Yoga helps you to connect with yourself through a set of practices like meditation, mantras, breathing exercises and certain postures. It is a popular group and Jo is a great leader who creates a relaxed and comfortable space. (New members must fill in a health consultation form prior to attending).
Yoga is a metaphor for life. You have to take it really slowly.
You can't rush. You can't skip to the next position.
You just have to breathe, and let go.
Is is a work out for your mind, body and soul.
Suitable for all abilities, Hatha yoga is practised at a slow and relaxed pace. Jo will use the main relaxation techniques and asanas (postures or positions typical of yoga) which will help you work with your body, mind and spirit to improve and maintain your wellbeing.
You will need to complete the Health Consultation form before attending our yoga classes. For the session you will need your laptop or mobile device and session zoom link, comfortable clothing, a quiet uninterrupted space, a your yoga mat, one or two cushions and a blanket.
Jo will start by checking everyone is ok and then lead you through the postures and movements. She will always demonstrate and explain, and give you a chance to ask questions, before you begin. If you find a posture or movement difficult Jo will suggest simliar alternatives which you may find easier. The session ends with a short relaxation exercise.
